Admission and Fee Structure


ADMISSION TEST

  1. The school is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. It is a fully residential school for boys.
  2. The academic session for classes V to X commences in January each year. The application process for the admission is exclusively conducted online. The Application Form for admission can be accessed on the official website of Purulia Vidyapith, usually made available between the months of August and October. During the written test for admission, applicants are furnished with a prospectus, offering detailed information about the institution and its guidelines and particulars. 
  3. Boys are admitted mostly into class V. Minimum age of admission is 10 (ten) years. 
  4. Boys are admitted on the basis of written and oral tests, and medical examination. 
  5. Written Test is generally held at Purulia, Golpark, Belur B.Ed. College, Belur Vidyamandir, Jalpaiguri, and Imphal, Manipur. Boys will have to take Written Test in Bengali/Hindi, English, Mathematics and on Intelligence. Those who will qualify in the Written Test will be called for the Oral Test and Medical Examination at Purulia. 
  6. A boy sitting for admission test for a particular class will be required to have completed the course meant for the class preceding it. 
  7. Religion or caste or community is never considered a bar for admission into this Institution. A boy found suitable in the admission test needing financial assistance is generally provided with the same. 
  8. Persons who have faith in the objective of education as well as the method of instruction imparted by this institution should seek for admission of their wards. 

FEES AND CHARGES 

All payments must be made to the Central Office. Payments should be made in four instalments--1st week of January, April, July, October. However, the 1st instalment of payment for the newly admitted students of class V is to be given at the time of admission in December.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO BOYS 

About one fourth of the students receive stipend, free studentship and scholarship. Stipend and free studentship are given to meritorious students coming from families of low-income group.
